About Grooming for Good

Providing pet grooming services and education to those in need.

A future where pet owners are well informed on healthy and necessary grooming practices for their pets. As well as making sure physical disabilities, mental disabilities, and financial need are no longer barriers in accessing grooming services.

About the Organization

Emma Clarke and Teresa Snow originally started The Zen Den in February of 2018.  After about 4 months of working at the for-profit business they realized there was a need for low cost and free grooming.  There are people who have had to surrender their dogs to the shelters and rescue organizations due to lack of funds or unforeseen medical concerns.  Grooming for Good was incorporated in the state of North Carolina on June 21st  for the two main purposes listed in the Vision Statement.  We believe that by taking away the barriers of providing necessary grooming to those in need this will be helpful in the fight to keep pets in their homes as well as be helpful in getting dogs adopted.  We also believe there is a strong need for proper education of pet grooming.  Many people are unaware that proper grooming is essential to the health and well-being of their animals.  We hope that we can bring that education to the public to better inform pet parents of the needs of their animals.
